Apple Creek Vineyard & Winery was founded by Douglas and Patricia Hunt and their daughter and son-in-law Matthew and Shellie Gamel. In 2006, after many trips to Missouri wineries, we planted our first 600 vines. Keeping up with the vineyard was a challenge we enjoyed and have now grown to 6 acres. Our wine making is done on premise and our philosophy is to make the best wine with what God gives us. We use the best possible agriculture, chemistry and palates to craft each wine. We enjoy a variety of wines from dry oak-aged Norton to our sweet Creek Bend Red. For those who enjoy fruit wine, our Blackberry should pleasantly exceed your expectations. Our fermentation facility was completed in the Spring of 2012 and is producing vintages that we are excited to share with you. We look forward to meeting you and sharing a glass.
Apple Creek Vineyard & Winery:
Our vineyard was established in 2006. Our winery opened November 10th, 2012 and is family-owned and operated. We are located 2.8 miles just west of I-55 at the State Highway KK Old Appleton exit 117 in beautiful rural Cape Girardeau County between the cities of Perryville and Cape Girardeau. All through the year the winery’s natural landscape and spectacular views of Apple Creek showcase each season which offers visitors the perfect place to sit back, take a deep breath, and relax with family and friends while enjoying your favorite glass of wine. Guests may sip wine in our spacious tasting room, on our 360 degree wrap-around deck, or under the trees along the creek bank while enjoying a picnic prepared by our kitchen. All of these locations offer our signature view of Apple Creek. The Apple Creek Winery Tasting Building is also available for private events. The indoor tasting room is an ideal venue for parties up to 60 people and perfect for small weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, business meetings, private wine tasting, and intimate dinner parties with family and friends. The outdoor space can accommodate up to 75 guests. Party tents may be rented upon request, or you may dine in our vineyard, or along the creek bank.
